The advent of the new year can be a good chance to evaluate what you want and who you want to be in the next 12 months. It might be embracing exercise or seeing friends more or - arguably the most common of them all - committing to healthier eating.
These days, healthy eating has never been more accessible, and it doesn't mean you need to go cold turkey on the snacking, either. Swapping your favourite snack for a better-for-you version is a far more approachable way to live healthier, so here, we round up our favourite healthy snacks to add to your rotation this year.
There's a reason nuts have long been the healthy snack of choice. They're high in protein and good fats, and eaten in moderation, can contribute to heart health. Notorious tamari almonds are an Unami-rich way to curb salty cravings.

A better-for-you way to satisfy the 3pm chocolate craving is with one of Top Juice’s protein balls. Choose from peanut butter and coconut, cacao and almond or fig and pistachio for a pick-me-up that’s less indulgent than it feels.

Super high in protein with a creamy, nuttiness to them, edamame beans make a great snack to tide you over between lunch and dinner. Pick up a container from Sushi Hub and top with soy and wasabi for a bit of extra kick.

Creamy Greek yogurt meets crunchy nuts and seeds in Starbucks’ yogurt and muesli pot. With protein, fibre and probiotics for digestive health, it’s the kind of snack that will leave you feeling very virtuous.
